Some really good rains fell across Oklahoma the past few days. In some cases too much! All in all will help keep the drought at bay and there’s still a little more to go off and on through Thursday before the atmosphere reloads for next week. Severe storms likely to return and we’ll talk more about at as we get closer.
Meanwhile, parts of the greater Houston area found itself underwater this morning. Over 80 flood rescues were ongoing this morning. Rainfall amounts exceeded 15″ in W Harris county overnight. The NEXRAD radar precipitation algorithms did a great job at estimating rainfall as compared to the rain gauge network.
