Our next rain maker will begin to affect the state Wednesday. Showers and a few storms will work through from west to east starting in the morning and continuing during the day. A second round of severe storms may develop by late afternoon along the TX panhandle and move into far W OK. Those would contain large hail and damaging winds if they develop. An isolated tornado would be possible.

On Thursday the system moves closer and focuses the severe weather risk across C and E OK. All modes of severe weather are possible.

After that another pleasant run of dry weather until a pattern change ushers in a broad southwest flow for the week of the 16th. We’ll deal with just about daily scattered showers and storms then. Some of those will be severe as we hit our climatological peak of severe weather season -AT
