An Active Week Ahead with Beneficial Rain
We need the rain desperately as we get closer to the Summer months. Here is a look at the latest drought conditions:
The good news is that from Sunday to Sunday we’ve got multiple rounds of scattered showers and thunderstorms to provide us some much needed rainfall. Some of these will be in the form of severe weather, but it’s wind and hail, not tornadoes. For a tornado to form in this environment, it would be a rare and freak occurrence.
Here are several of the model outputs to give you a general idea on rainfall amounts.
So where is the rest of our tornado season you might ask? Well, May is our active month and we’re only halfway through. I do expect things to be more active as we round out the month into early June. -AT
