Storms, storms and more storms! A few rounds of strong thunderstorms will bring very beneficial rain, some damaging wind and large hail. First round is tonight moving from NW to SE across the state. An outflow boundary from this MCS (mesoscale convective system) will help to trigger additional storms Saturday late day across the southern 1/3 of Oklahoma. Another MCS will move across the state Sunday night and possibly again Monday night. Always watch for flash flooding in these situations. The tornado threat late Saturday is minuscule due to pathetic low level shear. There would have to be a storm that rides the outflow boundary to generate one.
A Stormy Summer Weekend!
