This is going to be a very short blog just to say we’re starting to get into the higher short-term model data range and it’s starting to look more and more like a messy transition over the I-44 corridor on Friday. Latest data indicates an icy drive to work but then possibly a brief thaw late morning then refreeze after dark and eventually changing over to snow by mid Saturday morning. Rain across SE OK and snow with some sleet mixed in NW OK.
This would lead to significant ice totals across the OKC and Tulsa metro areas and lesser snow amounts. Specifics will continue to be nailed down as the data quality improves starting late tomorrow.
