The latest trends from the models since Saturday has been to erode the southern edge of the cold air this week slowly to shift the icy mix farther northward to the state border and into Kansas. The other trend is to have the upper level storm system come across more sheared and farther north as well, leading to less frozen precipitation with the next push of arctic air.
These two things are good for Oklahoma in general but the final outcome will be enough to cause slick spots on roadways when the light icing occurs.
The two areas will be N OK counties Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and the second round Wednesday night/Thursday morning across the N/C/NE counties which includes OKC and Tulsa.
I’ll follow trends and update as needed. -AT
