Typical Autumn Weather Returns
I hope you enjoyed last week with those warm temperatures, because now we’re heading back to our typical autumn-style weather. Cooler and mostly dry.
We did receive some decent rain across the eastern half of Oklahoma over the weekend, but it wasn’t enough to reverse the developing drought.

The weather change did bring our first frigid start to the morning on Sunday.

The Jetstream pattern for the week shows a dry northwest flow for a couple of days gets replaced with an upper low/trough moving through Thursday night and Friday. This will trigger additional showers and thunderstorms. As of now, there are some indications we may have a little bit of severe weather to go along with it, as wind shear looks decent. We’ll just have to see what type of instability there is to work with. AI models hint at the possibility.

Temperatures are more representative of Fall this week in Oklahoma. Enjoy the change! -AT
