Freeze Warning and Halloween Forecast

This upcoming week will be in a quiet zonal flow but one that starts off very cold in the mornings.
A quick recap of rainfall over the weekend and over the past week reveals some much-needed relief as the drought has been creeping back in. Once the drought map updates later this week to account for the recent rain, the output should look much better.

The zonal Jetstream flow means mostly west to east across the country. Sometimes this brings us quiet weather which will be the case this week.

Our next big focus is on the freezing temperatures. Expect hard freezes across most of the state over the next few nights. So vegetation will be at risk if left unprotected.

Halloween looks cold for the trick-or-treaters. At 7pm, temperatures will fall to 39 degrees. That’s quite a trick on those little ones as they pick up the treats!
