Our next arctic blast hits the state late Friday afternoon with falling temperatures. Light freezing rain and sleet will develop after midnight Friday into Saturday morning as temperatures drop into the mid to upper 20s. The wintry mix will continue for most of the day as it slowly moves east. Amounts will be very light, under a tenth of an inch for most. However, there should be enough  ice accumulation to cause area roadways to become an ice skating rink. Therefore, travel Friday night through Sunday morning is highly discouraged. A little light snow will move through the N half of OK Saturday night and Sunday with very little significance.
