The heat will build a bit more into the weekend as more 100s work into central Oklahoma. But by Sunday night everything changes for the better.
Until then another round of piddle showers or sprinkles may move across with some cloud cover early Friday but we should still recover into the low 90s many areas.
Temperatures Friday afternoon.
Another round of a few showers or storms will move through Saturday morning and some isolated activity Saturday evening. We’ll bake though, around 100 for many.
Few showers or thunder very early Saturday morning.
Isolated storms Saturday evening.

Temperatures Saturday afternoon.
Sunday not quite as hot but then widespread rain develops Sunday night into Monday morning.

Gravy for Monday temperature wise, 80s baby!
Temperatures Monday afternoon.
We stay decent for awhile but alas the heat isn’t too far away. The upper ridge of high pressure out west shifts eastbound and overhead for a couple of days before transitioning out to the eastern part of the country. As long as it’s E or W OK is good to go. When it’s on top, we bake.
Upper ridge out west August 1st.
Upper ridge centered overhead August 7th.
A sign that extreme temperatures may appear again around the 10th until the ridge moves east.
Upper ridge centered east August 11th.
Long term…for the rest of August, models don’t want to give up the heat completely, but there are plenty of signs we’ll stay on the cooler side of things for most days with weaknesses in the upper ridge overhead. I like that outlook myself. Also means occasional rain. I’ll continue to update you as things progress. Hope you are enjoying your summer! -AT

Wanted to thank Sarah for leaving such a kind review on my weather app, ATsWeatherToGo. Several of you followed suit and I'm very appreciative. The app weather market is highly saturated, so these positive reviews help an app like mine to stand out! 🤗 ... See MoreSee Less
I couldn't see where to go to leave a review. We travel a lot. So we use your app everywhere we go.
Done 👊🏻 I don’t know why I haven’t done that before now🤦🏼♂️ My bad AT 😃
Love having your app but not sure where to leave feedback
I believe I left a review not long after I started using the app but I will check to make sure. As a weather enthusiast (and the go-to guy in our office for all things weather), I have promoted your app on both my personal Facebook page and my drone photography page (Red River Drone Photography) multiple times. It is one of the cleanest, yet most comprehensive weather apps I've used. The weather radar also seems to be more accurate than many I've seen. I like the BTI to help me determine whether we need to run to the cellar or just keep an eye on things. But more than anything, I'll never forget being in Seattle last year having trouble with the app. It wasn't a huge deal but I sent a message about it and Aaron responded personally until I was able to get the problem resolved. THAT is standing behind your product. I will always promote this app to friends and anyone who needs a weather app. Thanks, Aaron!
They had no idea....lmao! Obviously they've never been to the midwest😳
I'm just dumbfounded how they are just watching from the shore....I mean what did they think was going to happen when it was right over them ..... The stupidity here abounds!!!! This right here is why we now have to put warning labels on everything!!! 🙄🙄🙄
Brittney Hope Korstjens water spouts that look innocent on water can be so much more on land. Be careful. - Mom
Can we just appreciate the translation though?! A sea trumpet 😂🤔
What is this? I feel bad I laughed.
Sometimes people are stupid. This is one of those times.
That got intense real fast!
But they were wearing masks, so they were safe.
For certain none of those people are from Oklahoma or Kansas!!
😂🤣😂 took them long enough
They just stood there watching 😱
Wow, look at that thing! It's just so... AHHHHHHH!
Felicia Ramos is this how you felt seeing that water spout coming your way in Destin?😲
In addition to the rapid intensification, the static discharges beginning about the 1:04 mark are pretty cool too.
